A sponsor is someone like you who has decided to personally invest in the life of a child in need through monthly financial support and ongoing encouragement. Your commitment will enable a sponsored child to participate in Christ-based programs with life-changing benefits including:
Daily nutritious meal(s). (Monday-Friday)
Discipleship and character development through biblical instruction.
Educational and exam support.
Provision of school uniform, school supplies, and school fees for public school students.
Assistance with general medical needs above the provision of the national healthcare system.
Bi-annual checkups and health education through the school nurse.
An annual Christmas gift in the name of the supporter.
The cost to sponsor a child is $35 per share per month. Each sponsorship has two shares, totaling $70. You can choose to sponsor one share for $35 and partner with another family, or cover both shares for $70 to fully support the child on your own.
Yes! When you log into your REACH account next to your child's name there is a place to send a message. You can send a written message, attach photos, and also send a 30 second video message to your child. We encourage you to send a message with pictures of you and your family.
Currently, sponsors can expect to receive an updated photo, art project, and a momento from their child during the year. They will also have the ability to send you messages, pictures, and 30 second video messages through the REACH website.

The Xai-Xai staff call attendance daily to determine the participation of all the sponsor program kids. If at any time a child’s participation in the program begins to subside, a follow up home visit with the child and their caretakers to confirm the child’s continued involvement with the program. At times, circumstances do not permit a child’s continued involvement (for example, if the child moves away from their community). In the case that a child is no longer attending the program, their sponsor will be contacted immediately. If circumstances require a child to leave the program, you will be given the opportunity to sponsor another child.
In 2007, Pastors Joe and Lori Champion responded to God’s call to plant their first international campus. What began as a feeding program in Xai-Xai became a full-fledged church that has spread to several communities. What makes Celebration Church Mozambique distinct among charitable organizations is its belief in the power of the local church to be the hands and feet of Christ for the people of Mozambique.
When a sponsorship donation has failed, the REACH system sends out an automatic email informing you of a failed donation for your sponsored child and prompts you to update payment/address details. Throughout the month you will receive reminder emails and a phone call to determine your status. If we are unable to restore your sponsorship funds and reactivate your account then regretfully we will need to cancel your sponsorship for the child to be available for another sponsor.

You can discontinue your sponsorship through your Sponsorship Profile, send an email to sponsorship@celebration.church, or by contacting the church office at 512-763-3000 and ask to speak with someone with Child Sponsorship.
Our sponsored children remain in the program until they graduate from Secondary School or turn 20, whichever comes first.
The School of Champions is a private school built by Celebration Church and is fully funded through your sponsorship donations. It is attended solely by children in our Sponsorship program and includes preschool, primary school, and secondary school education. Our students are taught the Moçambican curriculum with certified Moçambican teaching staff, have access to the school library, are provided breakfast, a snack, and lunch daily, and consistently score amongst the highest on standardized tests in the country.
